Lyme Disease
Lyme Disease is a rapidly spreading epidemic caused by a spirochete carried by the deer tick. As there is no reliable test for Lyme, it is difficult to say whether the current treatment protocol of antibiotics actually removes the disease from the body. Though it is widely agreed upon that antibiotics are the best treatment in the acute stages of Lyme, many people continue to suffer with various chronic symptoms regardless of the outcome of the test. As Chinese medicine treats the individuals manifestation of the disease (i.e. the symptoms that they present), it is a beneficial way to help patients with these reoccurring ailments. The most common persistent symptoms of fatigue, depression, and arthritis, have been known to be helped with Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs base diagnosis on clinical presentations, and can therefore treat any individual who is suffering with any degree of symptom.
